Caleb Mason is a trombonist/composer/educator
in the New York City area.

His latest project highlights the cultural complexities of Southern America through the lens of Georgian author Flannery O’Connor’s short stories.

The Peacock Suite interprets five of her works through American genres like jazz, rock, folk and old time music.

This video comes from the last movement of the suite, where an old and dying Georgian man tries to leave his adopted home of New York City, yet can’t make it there alive or dead.
